Are Indians 'red-skinned'? - picture of brazillian wax

Once I saw an Indian in Canada, looked like red leather.
I was a kid, and I thought it was amazing to see an Indian in real life.

I have pictures of some native Brazilian and indigenous populations in Bolivia, the view appeared with red skin.
They looked exotic.

However, most others seem quite as East India ....

I only ask because I am a little confused ...
(I hope no-one as a racist question.)

As for the Native Americans: It is difficult to understand why the Indians called "redskin". There is no real color is brown, beige. One theory is that if they met the Indians (Indians), with red clay, which were like red paint covered ...

From Wikipedia:
According to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED), the term "redskin" came from the reddish skin, few Indians, and in view of Indians and red, and the OED gives examples of the use in English is back for 17 Century (and introduces a use of red in terms of skin color from 1587). Other suggested origins for this term include the use of natural colors from the skin red purchased by the blood of the indigenous peoples and indigenous peoples and sold bounty hunter and scalp.

The "Red Indian, he looked like a child in Canada could be suspended and the sun too long ... ;-)

If you are the people of First Nations in North America to speak the color of the skin depends on the tribe and they live in (sunny, if not sunny ...). You are not the same as the Indians in India or the Caribbean. India, with the concept of First Nations are not very common (as I understand) to.
